Communication to Students

The primary method of communication to students from the Dean of Students Office is the student’s Georgia Southern email. Students should check their Georgia Southern University email regularly as many offices will use this method to communicate with students. The departmental email addresses for the Dean of Students Office are:

deanofstudents@georgiasouthern.edu for the Statesboro Campus.

armdeanofstudents@georgiasouthern.edu for the Armstrong and Liberty Campuses.

Please feel free to email the appropriate office with questions or requests to schedule meetings with the Dean of Students Office staff.

EAGLE ALERTs are coordinated by the Office of Strategic Communication and Marketing and the Department of Public Safety.  The goal of the EAGLE ALERT system is to be able to communicate vital information to the University community as quickly and efficiently as possible during a crisis. The EAGLE ALERT system is just one of the ways that the University communicates in a crisis. EAGLE ALERT is not intended to be the only method to reach the University community.  More information about the EAGLE ALERT system is available here.

University Communications and Marketing sends campus-wide communications. If you have questions about mass messaging to the campus community, please reach out to their office. Contact information can be found on the University Communications and Marketing website.
